Ok people are going to laugh because it's me posting the question. However people from the other side of the pond surely remember the childhood frozen treat called mr freezy I think their were a thousand variations. It was basicly just a plastic tube of sugar water with some flavoring. Does anyone know if I can find something similar in Germland? If so where?

Thanks
Iain

I think I saw these at Kaufland but for the life of me can't remember their name. But they are chock full of sugar and acids so you shouldn't be having them anyway.
P.S. I'll look this evening.

The real things are called Slushies or Icees and my local Mom and Pop shop in Freimann now sells them in three colors.

As for the pop sticks that you toss in your freezer, I don't remember seeing them here. I bought a whole box full last time we were in the states at the beach.

I'm sure these are avilable here, my kids used to have them years ago. They come in a box and you just chuck them in the freezer. Can't remember where we got them though.

to Canadians Slushies are a drink like a slurpee, freezies are like iain mentioned the tubes of popsicle.

I have seen them at Marktkauf... but you can also get fruitjuice like popsicles in most frozen icecream sections. Or a Caprio (I think that's how its spelt) is similar but they are just bigger then those little freezies.

You can buy those in any supermarket! Come in all sorts of disgusting unatural colours...just check out the freezer section, often located next to the Cashiers.

Presumably you mean ice-pops...no idea where to get them here though...will ask my friends with kids!

According to this, you can get them at Lidl. They didn't like them much though!

Yeah, I think we bought them at either Lidl or Penny.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm going to try penny and aldi tomorrow. More Links for those that like the urban dictionary.

A slurpee is the same as a Slush Puppie, right? You used to get them at lots of U-Bahn Kiosks.

Same goes for those freezies, although sadly I have forgotten the German name for those! ohmy.gif

Those are what I saw and I saw them again yesterday at Real. Boxes and boxes of them near the ice cream section.

My mom and pop shop 100m away from my house has a slushy machine with three colors! biggrin.gif

These Bussy Mix are pretty good. Got them at Kaufland, near the ice cream but not in a freezer - just on a shelf.
