"Bagels & Muffins" open mic comedy club

Bagels & Muffins is a bakery/cafe in Schwabing with a small stage to the back. Friday is Jazz night & Wednesdays Open Mike stand up comedy.

Everybody is welcome to come and also to take part & although most of it's in German, some more peeps doing some English stuff would be great.

You don't have to be a professional & people generally get up a few times for ca. 4-5mins. It's up to the individual. The only requirement is to enjoy yourself! Oh, & they sell Augustiner there too :-)

Sounds like it could be a laugh (literally!). Is it every week?

Yeah it is every week although now (supposedly) the weather is getting better it might be time to have a summer break. Tonight too is footy & tomorrow is a bank holiday so I don't expect it to be to busy but so far were there every week.

This space looks interesting. Do you think they would book something that ran for almost 1 1/2 hours and was in English? I am an American actor / writer doing a tour of Europe this summer and looking for a suitable space in Munich.

Her name's Regina. It might not be suitable to do it on the Wednesday evening at Bagels & Muffins but we're have possibilities of other locations around Munich in the summer. Talk to her & see what she says.

Hey Thanks for the info on Regina. My gig at the Calli Theater fell through so Regina is helping me to find another space.

Just to keep peeps up to date, I'm in the UK & won't be there tonight, then we have a break 'til sometime in Sept. In the meantime it's planned to do a stand up evening in The Arc sometime in mid to late August. I'll post any further info as & when.
