Hi all Sex and the City fans,
is anyone up to go to the movies together for a laugh and a giggle? The movie starts at 7.15 pm. We could meet up a bit earlier (maybe an hour), get tickets and sip a quick cocktail at
Bardales just opposite the cinema. On Mondays it is cheap movie day (5.50 per ticket). Check out the link:

I'd love to come, but I'm new to the forums and new to Munich. How should we meet up? And should I get my tix ahead of time? Looking forward to it!
I am counting the days til Monday, I can´t wait to see the movie! Maybe it is the easiest to get tickets ahead or make a reservation. Ticket reservations can be done on the Internet, too, and they need to be picked up 30 minutes before the movie starts.
It is probably the easiest if everybody gets their own tickets? And we could meet in front of the cinema, at the entrance? I will wear manoloh blaniks (I wish!) :-)

Help!!!
Would anyone know if there is a cinema somewhere in Munich showing the film in OV with german subtitles?
I am going with a german girlfriend and her english is not good enough to watch its original version. And I m not sure my german is good enough for the dubbed version.
Plus, translations are always so terrible!

I would suggest 6 p.m. in front of the Cinema to pick up tickets (it might be packed so it is recommendable to make a reservation) and sip a cocktail to get in the right Big Apple mood

I'd like to come too, though I'm new to the whole Toytown bit. Luckily i saw Indy at that same theater last week so I should be good.
I'm also definitely up for a cosmo beforehand.

Yes, I´ve been a couple of times. It is rather small, but nice. Nothing fancy. Definitely good enough to watch a movie!

I only realized after I arrive early at the Cinema that the seats are reserved so I waited for more of you to come. I was going up to any and all singles and asking if they were with the TT group. I found Izz only. So at 6:15 or so, we bought our tickets so we could sit together and proceeded over to
Bardales for our obligatory Cosmos, which were on special offer.
We really enjoyed the movie and I am pleased to have met Izz.
Did anyone else go?
Next time, we need to make some kind of group reservation.
FYI, if anyone else is going to this movie, you may want to get your ticket ahead of time for 2 reasons. They sell out and the actual movie didn't start until about 19:40.

Hi all - I couldn't make it, I had work people here from the home office and we went to dinner. I'd love to see it, and don't know many people here yet, anyone up for another night? If we pick a night in advance, we can reserve tickets. I heard theaters have assigned seating, is this right??

i cried 3 times, well i had tears in my eyes 3 times. especially the scene with Big and how Charlotte looked him. people laughed in the cinema, but it was not meant to be funny. i felt for her then.
if you look past the materialism, snobbiness and whiteness it is all about friendship - female friendships that go through thick and thin and above all being yourself. that is what i loved about the show and still do and why i am going to spend 120 Euro to buy the series. i always had a good laugh and it put me in a better mood when i was feeling down.
i should add, i started watching SATC when I got to Germany. made me appreciate my friendships even more.
I love Cosmos and all martini-type drinks.. I'll be happy to see a cosmo make a comeback - bartenders were doing a crap job of making a good one nowadays.

I also cried about three times. It was a great film and much than I was expecting. Indeed it is all about friendship. Going to become a favourite of mine probably.

I think that's just the thing men can't understand, they think female friendships are all about cattiness and competition. The friendships we form is one of the best parts of being a woman, I've never seen men form friendships the way we do.
