Does anyone know of a CHEAP, but good, shop (or someone personally) that refurbishes oldish bikes. I got one from a fellow TT (Thanks ) but as I want to use it to ride to work, I want to get it cleaned up (excess grease/rust) and a few things done to it - new tubes, valve stems, gears checked/lubed - basically a bike tune-up. Preferably near Giesing area.
Thanks, Babs

You'll be very lucky to find service at any bike shop in munich CHEAP. (but let me know if you do)
One bloke tried to charge me €20 just for looking at my wheel and scratching his head with a confused facial expression!

What do you people expect? That bike repair shops work for 10€ per hour? I don't remember anyone complaining about paying 110€/hour or more when their BMW needs servicing.
Manual labor is expensive. New bikes start at 100€uros. Don't expect to pay less than that, unless you get your own hands dirty.

Depending on where you live, I could swing by and have a look at your old-timer, I'm a bike machanic myself and love restoring old bikes.
thanx RM
