We recently visited the Hof area of North Bavaria following a job offer, and were really taken with the area. Unfortunately the job offer's been withdrawn, but we'd love to still settle in the area with our two kids 4 and 1. One of us is a music teacher (flute) the other an experienced sales and account manager. Anyone know where we should start looking?
thanks

Rosenthal porcelain is a subsidiary of Wedgwood... Both of them are in financial trouble though

What is your concrete question? If you're looking for a property to rent, look at the apartment rental wiki page.

The main question is where should we start looking for work: Arbeitsamt, local paper, local agents?

Best place to look would be the I-net (monster etc), local papers would also be worth a try. To be brutally honest I wouldnt hold my breath re the chances of finding a well paid job in Hof (and if you dont speak German your chances are even less)
