Laws on the issuing of a "Mahnung"

Does anyone have a link to a website or know of where I can find a run down on the laws around issuing Mahnungs? ie, how many I need to issue before legal action can be taken, wording of the Mahnungs etc. I would speak to my steuerberater but he's on holiday and I need to get this info ASAP.
