Just to be clear:
As long as you wear something, there is no dress code at The Arc.
Roots is welcome to attend in either a pink shirt, or skirt if that takes his fancy...

Friday
Oct 10 2005, 10:54 am
I may be there, am not sure yet. Can you just turn up and see if any team needs aother member?
Topsy
Oct 10 2005, 10:59 am
yes, Andrew, just turn up

we are full already, but I've never known anyone turn up and not find a team - Dr Matt or one of the regulars will help you out if you are feeling shy
quite often it's the scratch teams that win, actually

Many of these scratch teams end up standing at the entrance and at the beer tap, where of course they have tens others to consult from. Some ritual which I am not fond of.
profundo
Oct 10 2005, 5:24 pm
No consulting and no cell phones!
No more than four heads per team.
I will be participating unless something drastic happens in the next hour to pull me away.
Time to get my thinking cap out.
2 euros, eh? This will be my first pub quiz.

Arrgh, it is late but I am going to try to make it there within the next half hour - although there is a high probability that I'm going to get lost and thus will be delayed.

Huge Quiz last night.
As some of you know, a team of 5 won it. 2 guys felt bad about winning that way and €61 was handed over at the bar. This will be added to next week's winnings...
pelskimamma
Oct 11 2005, 11:06 am
They should not feel bad about winning!
Our team of 5 came dead last...

Tough quiz last night. Somehow our team managed 4th place. If only the little doggy on our team spoke up when he himself was the answer, perhaps things would have been different.

true. instead he just sat there with that smug look on his face.
and I'm still peeved about the "catfish" error by the way.

Don't forget: there's an extra €61 in the pot tonight that was returned from last week's winnings.

Typically there's plenty of time to sort yourself with a team once you get there. I might show up myself looking for a team tonight, not sure yet though.

I prefer "chronologically advanced"
You old charmer. Well the team I was in last night came fourth (and not out of the desert either). However I am unsure whether this was due to or in spite of the Irish component. Thanks to all concerned (thank god there weren't any fecking snowflake questions)
I'll bid 20 cents, a bit of navel fluff and a old washer for Parnell's services, whatever they may be.
Moonboot
Nov 8 2005, 10:00 am
me and my Elite Team will be there on the 21st.
Parnell, it's your loss if you want to join the other losing teams...am not gonna bid for you though, your payment will be the prestige of playing with us (ooer).
it's your choice dude but don't keep me waiting too long, there's queues at my door right now!
