We sucked last night. Just wasn't our day. We were seriously short of one person but thats no excuse. Even the special guest appearance from keydeck couldn't save us. We managed to win some Jägermeister in the end but that is not a good thing for those who don't know.

That bloody visual fruit round was killer...

Roots, sorry I didn't make it last night. I was on here reading the thread about the guy who wanted to play for the rovers but didn't want to take a shower with the guys. After I had picked myself up off the floor and mopped up my tears I realised I was too late. Another time hopefully.

@Rus, we came 5th. Not too bad I guess but we had been joint second before the final rounds...Bloody fruit. We got 2 right and one of those was one that I made a wild guess at.

Ok room for improvement for next week then!

Quiz tomorrow will be the last one for a few weeks.

We will be taking a break over the Oktoberfest and restarting again on 10 October...

That was a good, but fairly difficult quiz yesterday, a nice end to the summer quiz. I think most teams started a bit slow and then picked up as it went along. Great music round, I thought.
The winning team most definitely deserved it, as they wiped the floor with the rest of us.

As I told you Yday, someone did win by that one point. Its just the way U look at it.

oh I am just saying just for the sake of saying thats all. 2,3,4 positions were so close. One good guess would have made lot of difference. It was a fairly tough quiz like showem said but full credit to the winning team. As always, I enjoy the quiz and I will miss it the next few weeks.

ahhhem. i was on the team that came third. it would have been two points but a certain member of my team (member as in penis) deceided not to write down "the british east india company" as he'd just betted to give me 100 euros if we got that right. basicly he cheated his own team mate. bloody southerner.

gideon, I also guessed British East India company but unfortunately my teammates did not agree so we wrote another answer.

i had the answer and we'd agreed to write it down. Mr "im a fake northerner" Archburger is the culprit. roots, next time they'll listen.

My first quiz and our team came last

We didnt do that bad in the "normal" rounds, but the TV shows and the song round got us really bad. We scored zero in it and that made a huge difference..

Was about to post a question asking if the quiz night was a good event to come to as a 'newie' and judging by the banter it sounds like a good night out! I thought it could be a safe one to try first time as I can always hide behind my quiz sheet if I bottle out of making an intro ...

but in case you wondered: this coming monday instead of the quiz The Arc will be hosting my leaving/birthday do. i'm not picky or elitist, so if you want to come have a few drinks, stop on by!

There is no definite answer to that I guess.

Hong Kong is highly autonomos in many ways but it does come under Chinese administration.

To say that the latest Disney World is located in China is a waaaay too vague. I wouldn't have given you the point either.

The Quiz will be back at The Arc again from Monday with Dr Matt. The first post-Oktoberfest quiz, will be a double money quiz. We'll be matching the prize money, and having extra drink rounds...
