We'll be starting the quiz at around 8pm...
I'm not sure how long it went for last week, because I was sick and couldn't go, but we told Dr Matt that it can't go too late - people have to work the next day. We never want it to go longer than 11pm...
I'll be there tonight - would like to play along, but I'm a bit wary of doing that. Might be accusations of cheating if my team does well - But I have no access to any of the questions beforehand...I'll watch in any case though

@Foxy How long would you be able to stay? It would be cool if you came along

Bubble Gum, last week it started around 8pm and was finished a bit after 10pm. As my main team-mate, Topsy is not participating this week, I don't know what will happen to our team. I will probably go to the quiz and skip the Tex-Mex this week (sob) as I overindulged on the weekend.

I'm not sure if I'm coming this week. We'll see how late I work today. If I do come, I def need a new team!!

I know that Chewy, SteveNZ and BillyBob aren't coming.
I'll be at the texmex around 6ish or a bit later and head over to bondi's afterwards, i should be able to make it easily by 8.

Bubble Gum do you already have a team?

Oct 11 2004, 2:17 pm
Last week I had a team, then found there was not enough people we we had to mix a couple of teams, don't worry you should have no problems finding a team.

How does a newcomer pick a team? How many teams are there?
pepper
Oct 11 2004, 2:26 pm
Well last week it was more so that the tables had 4 sitting around them, so we split into 4 teams of 4, with a 5th team joining slightly later. Pick a team is easy, grab the intelligent people, how many depends on how many people turn up.

Oct 11 2004, 2:32 pm
well, I might stop by. If any team has an opening I will sneak in. Otherwise, I might have to start my own team I guess.

Between your Pop music and my profound knowledge about the mating habits of snails in the Umbaga region, I think we will make an unbeatable team. May be we should join forces

arrggh, can't make it tonight, but put my name down for next Monday in some team or other. Pleeeease say it't not ALL about who won the FA Cup in 450 B.C., sports questions are not my forte, I'm afraid.

@ Pepper Eh?! Do they have non-TT people in the Arc now, then?!
But seriously, as long as Hazza makes the quiz easier as the night goes on to allow for the fried brain cells, it should be fine...

Won't be able to make it this evening. Friends' birthday celebrations/extreme karaoke antics at GM's last night put paid to any ambitions I had of leaving the house this evening...

I got the Dole thing correct hehe but missed out on Jane Austin. That would have almost bumped us into winning position.

It is lucky I have spent the weekend drinking and reducing my already limited brain cell count.
I have predicted some answers to questions tonight already:
A1: The smile of the happy horse
A2: By driving through it in a large hat
A3: An unusual colour, brought on by excessive chocolate snorting
A4: A Bangra Curry sauce used with Linda McCartney sausages
A5: An irritating rash that can be cured by rubbing in essential oils.
A6: The sparkly, shiny and beautiful things that visit us all in the twilight.
If you know the questions to these victory is guaranteed.
