Monday night pub quiz at The Arc

Gee at least I knew something at that quiz. I was so convinced that snowflakes have five sides. Plus the music this time was definitely more MTV than it normally is.

It's over by 10:30 or so normally.

I'll be there around starting time but half ten is far too late for me tonight so I'll bring my scarf and mascot teddy and cheer for a bit. Or should that be jeer for a bit *hobbles off to find his pension book*

Uh, I obviously didn't make myself clear. He was not on Toytown at any point before Dec. 2004. Since then, having heard about it from assorted people, he may have indeed started coming here and logged on or started lurking.

Here's my feeble attempt to get the discussion of the Arc quiz night away from the GM thread.

Went for the first time last night and quite enjoyed it. Thanks to a highly capable team, I was able to walk away with money at the end of the evening, making this the first time that I've ever turned a profit by going to a bar. Very nice questions, great vibe, lots of fun.

Hoping to make it along to my first Quiz night on the 28th with an aussie mate. Does anyone have space for two more on their team or fancy making up a new team for the night ?

there are usually people wanting to join a team but four is enough anyway

well you can field a smaller team if you want...my point is that you will probably pick up a straggler or two on the night

there is nearly always room for an extra person on a team, just ask the guys at the bar to ask around for you
