Monday night pub quiz at The Arc

Yes the quiz is going ahead tonight although I am not able to do as I am still too sick. Instead there is a special guest quizmaster that has offered to do it instead.

Sin and Punchbear at the same pub is a great temptation but even I have to resist when I am in the middle of moving.

Nope it not Hazza. Its a regular but they haven't done the quiz before...I would love to be there but unfortunately my stomach doesn't agree.

Oooh a plot like gravy this one. Dunno if I'll make it, got some stuff to do but there's time yet.

How did the quiz go last night and who won?

It had some hiccups, but got there in the end. Very close too, went to a tie-break between 3 teams. The team I was in came 4th, a couple of points off the lead.

Thanks to those for standing in for me at such short notice. It was much appreciated.
I will be away for the next 2 weeks on holiday but will be back on September 17th with loads of questions about Northern Ireland.

Bit of confusion with a dirty CD but otherwise swimmingly. Ermm, that might've been me Ted and a cast of thousands.

I don't fuckin' believe it! You were there last night. I spoke to you. I didn't register it was you. Did you register it was me? Do we have to start wearing red roses in our lapels and carrying a folded copy of Big Tits Monthly under our arms now or what? What a complete waste of good old fashioned quality takin' the piss time!

Lots of English lads in there last night and I was a little too wired on espresso to converse normally or be sociable and go "Halllloo Internet", but I was quite content to just play on me todd and sip Radler. Apart from that, Lorcan kept callin' me Punchbear which may have been a giveaway Good quiz night though.

He kept calling me 'Sin', but that didn't help. We should get you, me and Yeti together one day to rip into the world (on an alcoholic level of course).

Just to remind everybody: I will be hosting the quiz on monday and I hope to see as many faces as possible!

I'm hosting again tonight, I've tried to make it easier this time and the music definately works this time (we tried it out yesterday). It was great to see so many people last week and I hope I didn't put you off from coming this week.

My thanks to Uncle Nick for deputising for Dazza for the last two weeks.
Creating and running a quiz isn't an easy task and although the subjects in this latest quiz were a little different, it was a good event which I certainly enjoyed.

OK...I'm a bit new here (to TT...I've been in and around Munich for a while). I'm fascinated with the idea of a quiz night but have thus far been a bit afraid of showing up due to the fact that it's a big of a foreign concept to an American. Is it really possible to just show up and jump in? Is there any particular etiquette involved? Sounds a bit daft, I know, but I don't want to offend. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone that showed up last night. It was very close all through the evening and was anyones for the taking coming into the last couple of rounds. I like those ones where the leader changes every few rounds.

I thought the quiz was really good last night! It seemed a bit more accessible than in some previous weeks i.e. for all ages. Still, true to form we came in last...

Brush up on anything related to Halloween

Thanks Dazza for another excellent quiz night, although the Halloween section was rather difficult.

Yeah, a very nice evening and we were winning half way through, until those Halloween, Art & Lit and Picture rounds

Will def try to come more often.

The Art/Lit round was the least succesful for us, but the Halloween one was great. 5 of 6. Fun as always.
