I guess we can see how things are going time wise on the night and then I can add in the extra rounds if need be.

just see how things go SiM (as katrina already suggested).
in order to play the joker at the right round, it is necessary to know beforehand how many joker rounds there are...

I'm still looking for that snappy stage name and there is still a beer voucher up for grabs I think.
How about keeping it simple: Dean D.?

I hope everyone has been studying dinosaurs and listening to Pearl Jam...
Hope to see loads of you there tonight.
I'll be dropping in for a pint and to catch a glimpse of the Wizard sacrificing live goats while wearing a cloak and incanting Pearl Jam lyrics backwards.
Won't be taking part in the quiz though, you can burn in hell slowly for that kind of deviant behaviour.
I'm still looking for teammates, anyone need someone? I need to win as revenge on the person whose team I WAS going to be on tonight until I got the SMS... grrrrrrrr.

Just turn up, there is always teams that are looking for people or enough singles to make a new team.
Yes I know but I like my Planungssicherheit.
You've been here too long, Gen, you're going native.
You'll be arranging spontaneous meetings three weeks in advance soon.

Flippin eck, is the
tram actually running up Barer Str this week?
Gen just wear your
dirndl, I'm sure you'll find lots of new friends that way.
And if you don't wear it you might find even more new "friends".
Ha! I've just organized a meetup in Frankfurt and I'm not even there!
Dirndl's on hold til tomorrow night, still airing on the balcony, so I won't be wearing it. Hello boys!
How will anybody be able to concentrate on the questions ?

It's called planning ahead, SiM. You've obviously not been here long enough.
well maybe I'll finally win first place then. 'Bout time, I've already played twice.

well, last night was a fab quiz (apart from the meanness on the geogers round and the occasional over-generosity with clues

) so well done SiM

Oct 3 2006, 8:40 am
Entertaining quiz, that seemed to drag on and on for a very long time. How long do poeple need to sit on answers for? Too many small breaks, with not much going on at all. Have had better quiz nights (sorry SiM)
Showem
Oct 3 2006, 9:22 am
For those who don't speak Topsish, "geogers" is geography. Took even me a second to figure out what she meant.
Pootle, there were a couple of draggy bits, but it was actually pretty snappy I'd say last night. In fact, I'd say the question-asking part started off really fast, but SiM slowed down on the later rounds, which was better.

Oct 4 2006, 5:51 am
I suspect that SiM is still getting used to the adding-up-the-points-between-rounds stuff. I didn't feel that the evening dragged at all, but then I always like a few chances to pop to a smaller place without missing out on anything
Besides, I don't think I've ever been on a team that got all the art and literature answers right before. I mean, we're talking
art and literature FFS.
Keep up the good work SiM.

great quiz and good questions!
however, have to agree also with pootle, we were given a long time to hand in the answers and surely a quiz is also about time.

Oct 4 2006, 9:29 pm
Hmm...I remember trying to hurry people up and then I was told to give people a chance to answer. Its hard to judge sometimes how long I should give everyone to answer.
But I hope you liked the questions.
