-is there anything similar to nyc's hopstop.com that generates a travel route via subway system and also tells you how long your travel time would be?

-im trying to get an idea of how long biking and walking and taking the trains would take to get to various areas around the city. i was only there once last year..but im moving there this fall and im just trying to get a better idea of this stuff for when im looking for apartments

-i dont have any specific locations, but just as an example, how long would it take to get from the top outermost part of schwabing to the bottom part near the city center? by bike, train, walking? and what about to get from one end of the city to the other? i keep looking at maps...but its just so hard to get a good idea of exactly how big the city is.

-also, using schwabing as an example again, does anyone know if rent prices get cheaper as you get farther away from the city center? how much of a price difference is it?

well thanks for any input, i really appreciate it smile.gif

MVV (Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund) (Munich Transport and Tariff Association).

Deutsche Bahn has an English site which includes Munich's subway travel itinerary, too: Deutsche Bahn.
