Is Monday May 12th a holiday in Frankfurt? Will the shops be open?
Yep, Pfingstmontag is a public holiday in all Bundesländer, and shops won't open. In Frankfurt, until some years back, shops and offices used to close on the following Tuesday afternoon, too, because of Wäldchestag, an inofficial Frankfurt holiday.
