If you love to work with children, enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing games (indoors and out!), singing songs/making music, telling/making stories, and you really strive to make your English lessons creative and exciting, then YOU are the teacher we need for the kids' courses! If you like working with teens, there are many possibilities for you. Teachers of adult learners (beginners to advanced) are also needed on occasion, so you have the advantage if you are versatile. The teaching concept is to give the learners a first taste or a new taste of English that will show them how much fun it can be, and how successful they can be if they take their mind off the struggle! With relaxed nerves and active engagement, they learn much more and remember it all!!

These English courses are designed to be active, creative, and above all FUN! The primary age group is from 3 to 10 years old, but can also be for pre-teens and teens (ages 11 to 17) and for adults (18 to 80). The approach is the next best thing to immersion: content-based teaching with trained native-speakers. That is, we use a holistic approach and apply the language learned in as many hands-on, creative activities as possible IN the lessons.

We are still very young (est. in 2007), but we are offering an alternative to restrictive franchise contracts and their expensive fees!
Our teachers are well-compensated for this challenging but very rewarding job! Minimum pay rate is 20 EUR per 45-min teaching unit (freelance basis). Assistance with and information about health insurance is also available if needed. The geographic area is primarily in Dreieich and surrounding towns, BUT can be anywhere in the Frankfurt Rhein-Main region. The lessons will take place either in the primary schools or kindergartens, or in a rented space (could also be in your home) or here in Dreieich. The business concept is a cooperative network of teachers who support each other with materials, training, coordination and administration and teaching (including coverage in times of illness). There is no investment required except your time for training and helping to build your clientele. If interested, please send me a personal message or email, and I'll fill you in on the rest!

About you--First, the MUSTS: Although training will be provided, you must have some experience working with children, and you must be either a native speaker of English with a strong grasp of grammar or speak English fluently with excellent grammar. Advantageous would be a university education, in particular: knowledge of child development and/or language development. Very helpful would be experience teaching English. Experience working at a summer camp is a BIG plus! Prior permission to work in Germany is usually necessary, although arrangements for work permission may be possible for those already in the country. Unfortunately, work contracts cannot be offered to persons not yet in Germany. We need to meet you in person first!
Looking forward to hearing from you! -Christine Taylor-Dorenkamp
