Where to dispose of light bulbs - Munich

Please advise where used Light Bulbs should be disposed of? I know they're "Sondermüll". But I haven't seen bins for that in my area (near Ostbahnhof). DM has bins for used Batteries -- but no bin for used Light Bulbs. I swear, I'm not a "Dim Bulb" myself -- but no one has yet been able to answer this for me -- including several Germans whom I've asked. Thanks! Lady Di

Here is an overview of the junkyards, they will accept your light bulbs. Don't expect them to be extremely friendly or chatty, they are the Lords of All Garbage and proud of it. I find that calling them "Meister" and asking where to ditch things makes them purr and almost eat out of your hand.

Normally, the store at which you buy the new ones must take them.

They are? Oops. I always put them with the regular trash.

They go in the regular trash.. Unless there the really expensive/special ones that have Mercury in them.

Energy saving bulb are sondermüll or at least elektroschrott, the good old energy wasting ones aren't. Most towns have a number of special waste collecting places, I'd look at the website of your town.
