Meetup for Canadians in Berlin
Do you miss Hockey in a skating rink your father made with the garden hose? Do you miss Tim Hortons or even St-Hubert? Are you jealous of your friends and family because they get to shovel their driveways 15 times a week? Do you crave ketchup chips and clamato juice? Have you been trying to translate "Eh" into German? Do you miss packaging that's in two languages that are not German and Turkish? Do you miss the imperial measurement system for select things like people heights and weights, room sizes (how big is 65m2 anyway?) and metric for most other things? Then this is the place for you!
We meet every 20th of the month in a different place. The meetup started 2 months ago so we've had two meetups so far. There were 15 people at the April one and 13 people have RSVP'd yes for the next one.

Who
All Canadians in and around Berlin
How will you find us:
There will be a Habs Flag (if you don't know what this is, you can't come and I don't care that they were eliminated, they are still the greatest team in the league) although I might splurge and buy an actual Canadian Flag since I found Flaggen am Alexander Platz.
How do you sign up:
Please go on www.meetup.com and sign up for the group (this is completely free) http://canadian.meetup.com/217/calendar/7625901/. The reason is that some of the meetups will be in smaller locations and I will need to know how many are coming. The next location is quite small so please sign up so can alter the location to accomodate the number of people. If you do not feel like signing up to meetup, then please rsvp by posting on this forum.
P.S. If anyone knows whether Ron Telesky can accomodate more than 15 people please let me know. In any case I will go check it out and change location if it doesn't work. If that happens, I will post the change on the meetup site and this Forum next week.
