U-Bahn stations close to the English Garden - Munich

Not to mention buses and streetcars
sillygoose
what ubahn station is by the english garden!?!?!?
Keydeck
Universität, Giselastr & Münchner Freiheit are all close to the most popular parts. Just look at a map for where you want to go.

U6 from stustadt down to odeansplatz. For the China Tower get off at gieselastrasse.
crusoe
Which bit of it?

Giselastrasse (U3/U6) for the Chinese Tower.
Edit: The others were quicker, but I spelt it right.
brownie
Universitat, Giselastrasse, M-Freiheit all are pretty close. Depends on which part of the garden you want to go. Helps to look it up on google/(any other) maps.

EDIT: Too slow wink.gif

But we got there first. To be honest though totaly duff question from the OP. I was tempted just to write buy a map you lazy git. Or use google map and explore the town that way.
sqryn
there are also 2 buses (54 and 154) that are driving from Giselastrasse to Chinese Tower. There are 2 or 3 stops I think.

Not forgetting Lehel UBF and tram 18
sarabyrd
I wouldn't call Lehel "close", and you may mean streetcar 17, stop Nationalmuseum/Haus der Kunst or Paradiesstrasse.
Owain Glyndwr
Tram 17 also stops at Tivolistrasse near the Chinese Tower. And Bus 144 stops at Osterwaldstrasse which is quite handy for Seehaus
Carm
and Buses 154 (Arabellapark towards Nordbad) and 54 (Ostbahnhof to Scheidpl) go thru the garden stopping at the ChineseTower.
sarabyrd
Yep, even newbies know that one. Strange how they find the main watering holes immediately ...
