Rolandfest in Brandenburg an der Havel

Hey guys, one of my colleagues has just told me about the Rolandfest which is happening in Brandenburg this weekend. What with people dressing up and all sorts of jousting type things going on, it looks like it might be fun!

It kicks off at 10:00 am on Saturday, with the official opening at 15:00. There is a fire show on Saturday evening.
There are also "plays" and music throughout the weekend, and much drinking and eating too.

Brandenburg an der Havel is a 50min train journey from Friedrichstrasse, on the RE1, if you've nothing else on this weekend, or just want to take a break from the carnival, this looks like it'll be worth attending just for the experience

Hi loberto, yes it is every year, around May, this year it's the last weekend of May. there's not much info yet but nearer the time I'm sure there will eb detailed plans on the web.

We went last year, IIRC it cost ~5Euro each, it was a fun day and we drank honey wine and beer, watched jousting and my colleagues kids loved it.
