George Bush might come to visit Munich

He's definitely going to Berlin on June 10

One of my colleagues said that he watched on the news yesterday that the G. Dubbya is coming to Munich.

My first question was, "Why?"

Anyone else heard about it?

He's been reading Toytown and heard there was some sort of curry war and wants a piece of the action?

"Your either with us or your ordering the naan bread"

News reports say he's coming to Germany in June. No mention specifically of Munich that I can find.

There's an EU/US summit in Ljubljana, he'll visit Berlin after that, on June 10.

Financial Times Deutschland: Doppelbesuch der Bushs in Deutschland

QUOTE

Awesome. After Ricky Gervais, Georgie is my favourite live performer. That sketch he did last week, conducting an orchestra in the style of Basil Fawlty, was one of the most underrated bits of comedy since Kevin Turvey.

maybe he's heard about the recent curry wars?

Individuals brandishing pretzels will be interrogated. Mass arrests expected.

Should we invite him along to a friday beer garden? smile.gif

See how he handles a mass?

fantastic idea. He's no stranger to binge drinking.

If it is going to be like the last time he came to Berlin in May 2002 is is going be be again total chaos. The last time it was the biggest police exercise ever conducted in Germany. The cops were extremely rude and arrogant to everyone and basically major dissruption to public transport. Even random searches in the outskirts of town.

Anything for a good demo I suppose...

It's amazing how some people just look for an excuse to protest, and violently at that...because of them, whole sections of cities have to be blocked off, inconvieniencing thousands of people...wankers.

Ever?

You are correct.
The largest at that time.

The G8 meeting of June 2007 was larger.

wonder what his plan is?
he should pop down to the English Gardens, lots of bushes are hanging out there this time of year.

It is not because of them... it is because of GW the biggest wanker ever... I recently sat in traffic in a mayor US city for nearly an hour because Georgie Boy was on his way from downtown to the airport. All intersections as well as all bridges over his route were blocked way in advance of him coming through. It was basically a standstill of traffic till his highness was at the airport. No protesters at all, just the usual messaurements for that prick...

This is done regardless of who is President. Remember Bill Clinton's haircut fiasco?
