Ski weekend, Ischgl/Sölden, 3/5.Dec.2004

OK latest update, we are 7. Lisa_e is coming. Now I just need to find a car! Warnign to the couples, Lisa can't leave until as late as possible so will be in Hahnsen's car.

So far the plan is for Hahnsen, lots of skis and presumably Canuck and Lisa_E to drive down later on.

The rest of us will have to take a rental at about 3 or 4pm, as I can't get hold of Graham and Archie's trip has filled back up again so no room in cars.

will pick everyone up from Ostbahnhof and take the A8 to Innsbruck (according to Falk it's the easiet way)

Please re-confirm when you can leave from the Ostbahnhof today (4pm absolute latest but earlier if possible, please state time). I am reckoning with Parrothead and Eric the Hamster, plus Arwen if possible (then more room for skis in other car).

Hahnsen I don't know, as I keep saying, I don't know who can leave when. Arwen wasn't sure and Parrothead called last night saying he needed to double check.

We are looking at hiring a van, Canuck thinks it works out the same price per person for rental and we'd save on fuel..

I came prepared to leave from work at "anytime", but would prefer to ride in the later car. That is, of course, assuming that we don't take the van.

if you leave in the later car, we have a problem with where to put all our skis!

unless... I go in the early car and Lee goes in the later car...but the problem with that is I would need to drop off our skiis with Tina before the early car leaves...complicated. The early car (GOLF with 4 people) is too full to take our skiis.

Sorry, couples need to harmonise. I'm sure you'll survive 3 hours without each other... I checked with Canuck, Parrothead and Arwen about this and it was all arranged last night already, to leave room for the skis.

After all, this is a GROUP trip so surely you were wanting to meet the other people you are spending the weekend with? Parrothead asked to come on this trip about a week before Hahnsen asked to join us.

And next time you can just book a couples' weekend, as you obviously don't need Toytown. This is going to be loads of fun, sure, with 2 beginners then me with 2 couples who can't even split for a stupid car journey.

I don't give a monkey's anus whether Canuck or Parrothead is standing outside the Ostbahnhof at 3.45pm. But I WILL leave at 4pm on the dot, with or without you. The car is rented, a Golf, and I shall be there with Arwen and Eric the Hamster.

I just read the ski thread in it's entirety. My head hurts now. So will you be coordinating ski trips on a regular basis now, like weekly.

yes, but no couples allowed (at least, not couples who can't be surgically separated.. this is a CLUB, not a holiday planning service for lovebirds.)

The next one is 5-9th January.

Tom and I will schedule our operation so we may be allowed to play next time.

However, we will stil be away on that date in Jan. Poooo
