Hi all,
I am bound for an investment back home and the lawyers there need attested copies of my visa, work contract and Salary Certificate. Where can I get it done here in Germany? Should I go to a lawyer or Rathaus to get it done or is there a separate department doing such work?
Another question! is there something explicitly called a Salary Certificate? is it not the letter that one gets every month once his/her salary is credited?
Thanks a lot
Cheers
Krish

A Notar should be able do what you need.
Yes, its your monthly statement from your job. Sometimes they want copies from the last 4-6 months as well, so bring those too.

I dont think you need a Notar for an attested copy. That would probably be rather expensive. As far as I know, every official with a stamp and a copy machine can do it. Rathaus or Landratsamt or Bürgerbüro (if they have something like that in Stuttgart) would be a good choice and it only costs a very small fee. (In Freising I paid 5€ for two attested copies of a document at the Bürgerbüro.)

If it is for a investement in India, better get is attested from your nearest Indian Consulate. They do it for a fee of around 25 EUR.
