ESSLINGER WEINWANDERTAG: WANDERING AND WINE CULTURE - Near Stuttgart

Do you know Swabian vineyards, like those of Esslingen? Do you want to find out about the "Glockenspiel" and the "Faifegrädler"? The stroll of about 5 km is a good opportunity to learn more about the region and the Swabian joy of life. The Weinwandertag route has several stops, with booths serving wine tastings for little money as well as local snacks.

The tour starts in Esslingen and leads us finally to the "Kelter" (the winery) in Esslingen-Mettingen. We meet at 11 a.m. at the fountain in front of the ancient "Rathaus" (overall restored city hall in nice red color). Take the S-Bahn S1 to Esslingen (departure Stgt Hbf at 10h25) and walk from the station 5-10 minutes to the city center, following the signposts for “Altstadt/Rathaus”.
