As this is a TT special affair (and I personally can only count up to my 7 fingers and 14 toes) could you kindly rsvp using the poll above - EVEN if you've noted it on the other thread. You'd be doing the cooks a great favour smile.gif

butterbean
fcuk yeah!

i don't see a me & mini-pup option on the vote though. dry.gif
jml
mini - pup is +1. no discrimation against the animal kind eh? unless of course it's needed for biscuits and gravy, bacon, or steaks. wink.gif
butterbean
3 paste eaters thus far. that explains a lot!
Showem
I am not a paste eater. I am an oompaher, thank you very much.

Texas Toast - white bread filled with orange marmalade & Philadelphia Cream Cheese, dipped in egg batter & lightly fried

Isn't that more like California Toast? wink.gif

Will have to see what the wife has planned, but I think the three of us would be up for it!
Blimeygirl
Mmm...perfect before we go skating and burn it all off.
Toast
i haven't had paste since kindergarten, but i guess i'll have to give it another shot... damn. i would've loved me some biscuits & gravy.
jml
@toast...well then you and slim make it happen. romantic weekend vs. biscuits and gravy...sausage gravy...hard call innit. i'll text you a description wink.gif

@eurovol...the three of you? what you got two wives? if so, props my man, props...to the wives that is..half the work and bother eh. laugh.gif

@texas tornado...from the other thread ...can you please describe a southern biscuit for the uninitiated? Me personally i call em appetizers cause I'm starting with those, followed possibly by one of the mexican egg dishes. French toast for dessert. who wants to share with me?

*goes off giddy with visions of bacon and biscuits dancing in head*
Katrina
I'll start with Huevos Rancheros and then will scarper off with the entire quantity of obzada and will sit gibbering in the corner wolfing it down without the benefit of cutlery or bread-related items.
People may talk at me, I would like to advise that answers will not be forthcoming (it is after all rude to speak with your mouth full) and that it may be wise not to actually look at me when you speak (such images are hard to clear from the mind).
A US biscuit is like a gone-wrong scone to me, I would have been beaten soundly in Home Economics class for serving those. tongue.gif
Iceberg Slim
THIS is what an "American" biscuit looks like. The taste cannot be described - except as heavenly. Scones be damned, this is a slice of heaven.

They are also amazing with butter and honey, or apple butter. mmmhh.
jml
@Katrina...damn biscuits AND a spankin' !!! I wish I were a scot too!!

xoxxo
*j - butter my biscuits, damn I really gotta get back to work - ml*

edit: @slim POPEYES! Holy batsmokes call Toronto. Now You put that link up just to torture me. dry.gif
Iceberg Slim
@jml

and they have locations in Germany.
pao
As far as biscuits go Bojangle's is king.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm... BoBerry Biscuits.
Katrina
Yes, yes jml, but look how I turned out. This is an good advertisement for making scones properly.
Mind you I did go to school in Essex which of course excuses/explains everything...
I nearly broke a tooth on a biscuit in NYC - I can't afford (literally) to take the risk and will stick to the obazda.
Is that the time? My boss has buggered off already. Think I might follow this management example soon...
xxx
jml
@Katrina...yes but look how good your teeth turned out biggrin.gif *bling*

@Pao and Slim...You people cease and desist torturing me with chicken and biscuits, NOW. No chicken fried steak, now home made macaroni and cheese with the crispy cheese top, no meat loaf and mash...damn I'm hungry eh wink.gif
Katrina
This is true. And according to this dating guru, that was a wise decision. wink.gif
Is sausage gravy like patties of sausage meat in gravy? Or am I being dim?
I think I need one of those menu cards with pictures on it biggrin.gif
eurovol
Cracker Barrel biscuits are the best! And so is everything else you can order there.
Country Boy Breakfast-just loosen your best and they do the rest!

"I know, I laugh at it too, but that is what it says on the menu!" tongue.gif
eurovol
Sausage gravy is made from sausage grease. If you add bits of old dried up sausage, then it is called sawmill gravy. YUM!
jml
oh you dont want to looooook at it...better not. its fluffy bread dipped in savoury creamy goodiness milk, butter, flour and sausage lard. photos couldn't possible do it justice. wink.gif
Toast
damn eurovol- get out of my head! perhaps this is more of what jml is hankerin' for:

Grandpa’s Country Fried Breakfast®

Two Eggs cooked to order with Grits, Sawmill Gravy, Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, real Butter and the best Preserves, Jam n’ Apple Butter (on request) we could find.
~plus~
Fried Apples or Hashbrown Casserole
~and~
Chicken Fried Chicken or Country Fried Steak
jml
oh man toast, I said southern not trailer park...hashbrown casserole laugh.gif
Gen
those popeyes locations are all on US armed forces bases. Will a US Passport get me on to go eat some chicken? And can I bring a couple Germs too?
Toast
ah see, if you can talk shit about the hashbrown casserole, then obviously, you've never experienced the hashbrown casserole. wink.gif
jml
@Toast: I LOVE The HBC but damn gina, you gotta admit its a bit trailer park:
mince mixed with cream of mushroom soup topped with cheese and hashbrowns, baked at 350 til crispy...or is that tater tot casserole? Either one washes down well with Boones. Total trailer. Frito Pie anyone?!?!

@gen...bring me back a bucket eh.

*j-shit there's my call...must stop posting...-ml* mad.gif
Toast
all of the best recipes involve cream of mushroom soup, bacon or both. fact. laugh.gif
Katrina
Go to Copenhagen then, jml.
If you like bacon it is the promised land.
I personally believe that God created Denmark to piss the Jews off. And the Muslims for that matter.
He did a good job. It is world of bacon.
And combining lobster and bacon with both in large amounts swung it for me.
Is the cream of mushroom soup Campbell's? Heinz just isn't gloopy enough for me.
Saan
This will be my first TT event. Huevos Rancheros?!! Biscuits and gravy?!! OH YES. YES YES YES!
petal
Count me in as a definite. Got tzo be the all American pig out session for me!! Yummy. Getting hungry just reading this thread.
jml
@Katrina...I LOVE Copenhagen!!! Lobster-Bacon geniuses. And yep, its gotta be Campbells.

@Toast...You're mother done raised you right.

wink.gif
canuck
I love Campbells cream of mushroom soup!! Mmmmm. I'll be there for the Brunch too!! Count me in.
butterbean
ok - is everyone all set on how to get there? U2 to Josephsplatz, exit toward Georgenstrasse, take right escalator and turn right, go down to Tengstrasse (the next street, at the light), cross over and turn left. Go almost a block and it's there under the Savoy sign. I live a block away - anyone, newbies or otherwise - welcome to PM me if you're unsure, want someone to show up with, etc.
randy
Ooo, sounds delicious and in my neighborhood too; I'll come and maybe +1. I'm up for the biscuits 'n gravy, and the breakfast burritos - yummy!

jml: frito-pie I've had; and yep, I grew up in a classic airstream trailer.

butterbean
come on, now, that there's a fancy trailer
jml
looks like a good crowd. anyone considering/wanting to join please rsvp via the poll (useful for both rsvps AND strippers eh...total magic).

anyhoo, i can't remember if i posted this but the brunch is a TT exclusive event - the restaurant and staff are opening up just for you cutie pies. (mmm...pie...) so the headcounts really important to Texas Tornado, Papa Geno and crew.

thanks peeps
*j-is it quitting time yet-ml*
jml
oh hellyes, thats fancy. looks like it has PLUMBING.

*j-I've used my share ouf outhouses-ml*

edit: I see randy typing. hope his post will involve the words, pa and gator, alternatively cactus ass would be acceptable.
randy
Sorry, did I say classic? Totally meant classy...
Green shag carpeting (worn to the nub)
    Sawdust-pressed "real pyne" wall strips
Lime-mustard colored linoleum kitchen flooring squares
Porcelain-like coated plastic bathtub (complete with decades worthy rust strips under the faucet)
real, interactive, educational 'n massive wasps nest mounted to the entry door window
Nothing but style.

p.s. No pa - but truly was gator country, jml wink.gif

p.p.s. Forgot to mention the awesome "wake the neighbors" swamp cooler mounted in the boudoir...
jml
@ randy laugh.gif

btw its NuBile Shag aka Nubby bile coloured shag carpeting...

*j-gator makes good eats-ml*
butterbean
for those of us that want to eat, break, and go back and eat, happy to offer an hour or couple of Fall Guy, Sopranos, and/or Sex and the City (6th season) for the break at my place round the corner...
Gen
or the Bookswap at 16:00... there's also ice skating at 13:30... anyone remember Alexander's Busy Day?

EDIT: got that confused, it's "Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"... still a great book. And obviously not at all applicable to Sunday, which the crap weather is turning into an extremely busy day!
Arwen
will def. be there! can't wait to try it out!!!
eurovol
I will be there with 2, except one is a three year old, so that is two and a rugrat.

Did your trailer come complete with or without a pitbull and yard art? wink.gif
butterbean
true yard art involves old appliances or cars on cinders. maybe an old layzee boy, but only if there's a cooler by it.

that still looks fancy-like to me, particularly with that there camaro peekin in on the right - bet there's a hood chicken on it. and that rottie? sheeeeet. an I don't see no rust on that pick up neither. god bless it's a Ford though
eurovol
Yeah, the Fords rust from the inside out and the Chevy's from the outside in. I always wanted a Ford with a Chevy engine, Hooker headers, mag pipes , flipped air filter cover and a gun rack! cool.gif
Then I could tool on down to the Cracker Barrel for some real eats.
I actually hate their new fangled hash browns. Loved the old plain ones. Sopped up the runny eggs better!
Oh, and I miss my all time fav-Ribs, Ribeye and a Rosin baked potato swimming in butter and sour cream a chefs salad and blue cheese dressing. Whooooboy, I could go for that about now.
butterbean
13 paste eaters. damn.
butterbean
wait, sorry, 12 paste eaters and showem who, she claims, eats no paste.

right, girlfriend. wink.gif
Topsy
OK, now you got 12 paste eaters, an oompah player and an "etc." (that's me) wink.gif
mad
I can't miss this one, Texas Tornado. Count me in with either 1 or 2 guests.
We are drooling already cool.gif Will let you know the exact count tomorrow.
sk8rgrl
I'll also join in...haven't been out for breakfast since I left home!
mad
We're a definite me + one for the "pig out brunch" tomorrow. Am looking forward to meeting all of you, since this is only my second contact since Halloween at Twisted where I met quite a few Toytowners, but don't have a clue anymore about names blink.gif See ya tomorrow.
