Professional painters, decorators, and cleaners - Berlin

Can anyone recommended me a good cleaner & a decorator (preferably ones that can understand english). Arrived at a deal to allow us to cancel the contract early on the hellhole that is our flat & landlady... but requires us to sort out the 'problem'. Didnt really want to sort it out, but willing to take the financial hit just to end it all! Shes has offered to arrange the cleaners etc, but i want to at least get quotes first just to make sure she doesnt 'extract the michael'!! lol

FYI if anyone wants a flat & sees a flat on the 6th floor of Kiehlufer 17... AVOID! its a nice flat in a really nice area... but although the landlady seems nice at first... the slightest problem & she loses it!!! no exageration!!

Don't know about an English speaking cleaner, but whenever I've moved I've used the Heinzelmännchen to paint my apartment. They've always done a really good job, for a reasonable price. Again, I don't know if you'll find an English speaker but it's worth a try:

There is a paint store in Mitte called International Hardware Store, Invalidenstrasse 152 phone 93554963 or mobile 0162-847-9046, it's owned by a guy named Mario who is american. I have a flyer from 2 years ago so I don't know if this info is still valid but the flyer says he can do or help with painting, renovations, home-improvement consultation, free cost proposals etc. We didn't actually end up doing anything so I can't say whether the work is good or not but he seemed very nice and helpful.
