Seems sitting at a separate table has it's advantages...we got served pretty quick...I was having coffee when some others only just got their main course smile.gif I got a nice surprise when an ex-MUC TTer turned up out of the blue. The forest caipi in the Potting Shed was tasty and the Mojitos are good too. The ticket idea for paying was good - ran very smoothly. Thanks for organising Sara!

I think the key to getting served quickly is not sitting at the same table as OG. tongue.gif

well, we did sit at the larger table, so should have expected to get served later.

Allow me to also throw in a big thanks to you, Sara. What a great turnout! I enjoyed meeting you as well as many others that I hadn't seen before.

The drinks were great and I like the Shed. I learned to always ask about happy hour deals. We ain't in Kansas any more.

My Chili Fish was super and hot and, although the wait was long and papadamlos, the good company more than made up for it.

Should we create a list of requirements for Curry reservations beginning with gratis papadam and schnapps? We do bring in buckets of money on an otherwise slow evening. We seem to keep banging our collective heads on the same wall.

Or is the whinging more fun?

Ciao!

Didn't you get your mango shot? I had mingled my way to the outcasts' table by that time and had it postively forced on me.

EDIT: For those who were asking about Editor Bob, here is the best description ever posted (thanks, Keydeck)

They say he's as big as four cats, and he's got a retractable leg so as it can leap up at you better, and you know what, he lights up at night. He's got four ears, two of them are for listening and the other two are kind of backup ears. His claws are as big as cups, and for some reason he's got a tremendous fear of stamps. He's got magnets on his tail, so as if youre made out of metal he can attach himself to you, and instead of a mouth he's got four arses.

I even got a chance to practice the language.

And there was me thinking you simply lost control of your tongue.

Cocktails were top notch (though I found the cucumber martini a little one-dimensional) and I got caught by the happy hour thing too, but hey, that's my fault.

Curry was a long time in coming, well over an hour after arrival, and no papa poppa freebies beforehand to keep the wolves at bay either. However when it did come it was good and plentiful. Nice lamb, as someone already said.

The Shamrock was fun too. Lots of music from my teens rolleyes.gif I wish I could still twist again like I did last summer.
