Signage seen for a new place on Oderberger Straße

Before you mistake this as a post about something that it isn't, please read smile.gif

I was walking down Oderberger the other day (Oderburger or Oderberger? I can't remember which it is).
My friend and I spotted signage for a new place.. "Fat Ass Pizza" or "Fat Ass New York Pizza" or something. We walked by again and it wasn't open. Does anyone know anything about this place?

I sure hope they aren't implying that us New Yorkers are fat asses!

I'm not sure tongue.gif

"this smart-looking eatery serves up ridiculously huge slices—not squares, dammit—but real, honest-to-god New York-style slices"

It definitely sounds promising...

“In the beginning I thought I was the expert, having easily put away about 1000 slices back home. But these guys—Marcel, Flo, Andi, and our culinary specialist, Frank Bornemann—actually traveled to Manhattan and spent weeks researching the traditional pizza joints.

Anyone intimately familiar with NY metro area pizza, go check it out and report back smile.gif
If it's any good, I'll be sure to go on a regular basis, in spite of the silly name. My personal litmus test: do they serve garlic knots?

The best pizza in the States I've ever had was in Chicago, the deep dish pizza. Yummy!!

Talking about pizza...there is this place in Liegnitzerstrasse 28 in Kreuzberg called Trattoria Venezia. They have the biggest pizza I have ever seen...3 people can eat one pizza and we are talking big slices...so check this place out.
