If you know some German it would also be useful to take a look at websites such as:

www.immobilienscout.de where you can specify the search, choose how much you want to pay in Kalt (without utilities) and then see what are the Nebenkosten (utilities, outside electricity)

Check if your company provides moving assistance through an agent, that would make it easier, try to get them to pay the Provision (Real estate agent's fee) which could be as high as two months rent + 19% tax.
