A rapidly growing and internationally operating online organisation is searching for an English-speaking International Email Marketing Manager to support and develop their products and website. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting industry and a well established organisation!
My client is based in the heart of Munich and you will be working in a truly international team with a lot of different nationalities. The business language is English; however additional languages are a bonus!
Overall Responsibilities
* Support the global email marketing/CRM (customer relationship management) team. This area has implemented a market-leading ESP (email service provider) and requires support in order to complete the migration to the new system and continue the growth of actual and new countries.
* Leveraging value from email marketing tools
* Maintaining and driving email marketing Campaign Calendar (CCal)
* Execution of all email marketing activities
* Expert user of email marketing tools (ESP and internal promotional tools)
and centralised email campaigns
* Proactive use and improvement of tools and processes
* Maintain 6-week rolling campaign calendar for all markets
* Ensure that seasonal highlight for the year are defined and prepared with all involved departments (i.e. Valentines Day etc.)
* Maintain annual communication calendar
* Coordination of automated and triggered marketing and system email communications
* Definition, setup and execution of email campaigns in all markets
* Support (and initiate) email testing plans to improve conversion rates
* Learn from past tests to improve the future campaigns
Reporting:
* Ensure tracking of KPI on campaign level
* Communicate and document learnings – institutionalise communication and
adoption of best-practices
* Create a central “library” of past campaigns for references
* Be the centre point for cross country reference.
Education:
* University degree – probably with major in statistics, mathematics, sciences or
Linguistics/AI (e.g. Kommunikationswissenschaftler; Fachwirt BAW)
* Prolonged stay abroad (minimum 6 months) in an foreign culture
Experience
* Preferred: 2+ years in dialog marketing, customer relationship management or
direct marketing, mail-order services or subscription business resulting in an indepth
knowledge of online dialog marketing and customer relationship
management. Could have worked for marketing agency if highly rated as
business-focused closed loop marketing specialist
* Project Management
* Desired: worked abroad and/or in English
You will be measured by the
* Operational efficiency and quality (of email campaign creation/execution)
* Conversion rate of the campaigns you send
* Contribution of email marketing/CRM to our overall business
* All aspects of dialog marketing / customer relationship management.
* Customer segmentation and behavioral models based on data mining
* Storyboard definition and management
* Coordination of copywriting/marketing communications
* Measurement strategies
* Analysis of measured data and ‘translation’ of analytical findings into
business actions
* Very good English (working language)
* Management of agencies in communication environment
Personality
* Very analytical: Strong analytical, logical and metrics-oriented mindset with
sense for target-group needs; analytical – how to measure quantitatively the
efforts of copy-writing – this cannot be overemphasized!
* Street smart with business sense: Address problems in a pragmatic, creative
and, if necessary and sensible: unconventional way and a strong business
orientation; acting with a clear understand what the action contributes to the
business
* “Driver” with independent work style: mentality that leads to finish things
completely and pushes suppliers and external partners (without ‘burning’
them); wants to move things and always finds a way to pass dead ends or road
blockers. High self-motivation!
* Precise
* Concise communicator: to-the-point communicator¸ ability to communicate
with demanding and analytical managers
* Intelligent: We are in a very fast moving environment. The person must be
able to very quickly understand requirements and adapt very quickly to
changing requirements
* Passionate; hungry; ambitious
* Tenacious
* Able to work in a fast-paced in a rapidly changing environment
