Venues for a night out in Cologne

Hi!
My friend is coming over to see me for her birthday and i have been left with the task of finding somewhere fun for us to go. Ive got the daytimes sorted but she will want to go out and party too!
So, im looking for a club or disco or somewhere like that in Cologne, Bonn or somewhere close (im in Cologne) for us to go this saturday (May 3rd) night...yes i know its very soon but i didnt think about this site untill today lol
If anyone wants to join us that would be cool too!

I would be VERY greatful for any help people could give me

Hey, have you thought about going to Rheinenflammen? The biggest fireworks are taking place in Bonn at night, and there's carnival rides and drunken fun happening all over the place at Rheinau. Just a suggestion, I'm not sure if you're looking more for a club night, but if she's not from Germany, that'd be a fun thing to do. You gotta go pretty early (1pm) to get a seat at the Rheinau.

On the other hand, IMO, the best clubs are in Cologne. Triple A, Diamonds, and Nachtflug are names I hear tossed around alot at my Uni as cool places.

in cologne there are 2 main areas for clubs:
Barbarosaplatz: more into students clubs
Friezenplatz: in my opinion the clubs there are better: Ivory, Omega, AAA. there are nice Cafe-bars and resturants around. and Friesen Str. is also full
