Hey all!
Big count down for me... Two weeks until I'm over there- and I'm (hopefully) getting an unfurnished apartment. I would love to get older furniture for my place- I like antiques or just older furniture- usually I paint it exotic colours (it's an art thing) but I hate to pay a lot for it. What flea markets or shops do people recommend for furniture?

There are a fair few flea markets about on Sundays.
Mauer Park in Prenzlauer berg
Boxenhagen Platz (thats possible spelt wrong but you'd recognise something like that on a map) in Friedrichshain
My guide book also tells me there is a large market in Tiergarten which I think is Mitte-ish
Dont know what they are like for furniture specifically but its a nice way to spent an afternoon

The one in Friedrichshain is at Boxhagener Platz.
The Tiergarten flea market would get my recommendation. It's every Saturday from about 10AM to 4 or 5PM.
