and do you have plans?

Hey ho,

I'm looking at various options, having booked my flight to be here over new year. The current plan involves either a party at someone's flat, going out in munich, or staying in a ski hut somewhere.

Who would be interested?

EDIT: if you're interested in the skiing idea, please PM me saying how many you are, single or couples for accommodation, etc...

I'm here and interested. I would prefer something in Munich but am open to a relatively inexpensive trip somewhere.
butterbean
I can't remember whether I get back on the 30th or the 31st. Might be able to volunteer my place, depending on interest... smile.gif
pepper
I'd be in for it, but if we go out and about in Munich, we should think about booking soon, a lot of the places gets filled quickly. Depending on how many people we are talking about, I could host something at mine ! I should be fully moved in by then !!

Pepper and Butterbean - you both have fantastic places. A party in either of them would be fab!
Winegirl
A party at someone's place would definitely be great with me.
BadDoggie
On New Year's Eve I'm babysitting a closed bar full of drunk Russians and live music which they're providing.

Pity me.
Showem
No way! Russians party hard. I doubt you will make it through the evening sober.
Bubble Gum
Yeah, are you kidding me? Russians are tons of fun to party with. You're gonna have a blast!
rubber duck
Yup I´m up for it, munich preferred, but open to alternatives as long as I´m able to celebrate my b-day in a proper way. rolleyes.gif

BDoggie, think of the VODKA! The smoked-salmon blinies! - blimeys, whatever they're called.

Still haven't booked any flight, what with various things being up in the air, so I might be joining in too. Will definitely let you know by the end of next week.
BadDoggie
No, no, no... y'all don't understand. Drunk older Russians. These ain't a bunch of nippers. I have a feeling there's a Good Reason they choose a different local each year.

There won't be much bartendering for me to do; we're pretty much only handing bottles of wine and vodka over the counter. Maybe there'll be an occasional beer to keep me busy. Maybe I can hang an antenna so that I can get into my own network (I live a couple buildings down). Then I could bring the laptop and keep busy.

Since we're doing the buffet, I doubt we'll see many blinies. They want to keep it cheap so it's probably going to be standard finger-food and small plate stuff.

While I don't expect to get ratted, I will indulge in a bit more than just a slight tipple. However, since I expect to be there until at least 6:00 a.m., I can't go whole hog.

woof.
pootle
Am here in munich, but really have no plans right now.

Was thining of going to Marianeplazu with large fireworks after an alcohol fueled evening before.

that's basically the idea, doesn't have to be posh. I was going to offer my place, but a group fof us are thinking about skiing. I posted the poll just to see who's about, in case we don't ski.. and to see if anyone wants to join us...

no concrete plans yet cool.gif

REICHENBACHBRÜCKE !!!

Always a spontaneous street party and local people from Glockenbach and Au being nice to each other. cool.gif Bring bottles.
Toast
i think we're leaning towards being back for new year's, but i'd like to stay in town for the festivities. that being said- i'm pretty much up for anything.
Arwen
cool! hope we can work out something!
JoolyBooly
yeah, we're finding out how many hut beds are free, no reason why some can't ski and others party.. will keep you posted
Hazza
I'll be here, but will probably be working... sad.gif
Jeeves
Yeah I'll prolly be "stuck" in MUC so it's be good to check out what's going on here for a change!
Owain Glyndwr
I'll be in MUC and and happy with anyting going on whether in a pub, someone's place or a ski-hut (although no skiing for me). It is the people that make parties the most fun, not the location. if you are with the right bunch, it will be a laugh anywhere.
JoolyBooly
well then, Hazza! It's up to you to organise a rocking party! 20 peeps isn't bad for a start..
