I've noticed that a lot of big Hollywood movies are doing their European movie premieres in Berlin and quite a few big stars have appeared there. Living in Frankfurt, I have no clue about these events or theatres and can't find anything on the net. I wouldn't mind driving out there if I knew I could see some of my favorite actors in person. Anyone know where I could find out about these movie openings far in advance? Thanks!

My guess is that they would be posted in either Zitty or Tip, local magazines that tell of events and goings on around the city. I'm really interested in seeing one too, namely the new Indiana Jones if they do a premiere here in Berlin.

One of my freinds is collecting autographs, so she usually knows thing I haven't even heard about. So last week she went to the Speed Racer premiere.
And right I also just know about Sex and the City.

Anyone know which cinema the Sex and the city premiere will take place at? I'm a massive fan of the show and would quite like to catch a glimpse of the cast but dunno whether I can actually be bothered to go to the effort!

Most movie premiers in Berlin take place at Sony Center in Potsdamerplatz. In fact, when I walked by today, they were setting up for the Sex in the City premier.

The Sex and the City premiere was ok. But the Iron Man premiere was defenitely a lot better.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis were the only "stars" at the premiere. And Steven Gätjen (the person that made the interviews) was giving away some tickets for the premiere and he said he would ask really difficult questions, but the questions were like: "What is the favourite drink of the ladies?"
So that really wasn't a good premiere.
I've seen Death Proof ones, when Quentin Tarantino was there. I mean, he didn't watch the movie with us (because he was watching it with the other German "stars"), but after the movie he and Zoe Bell came in and answered several questions. And that was just awesome!
As far as I know, there won't be an Indiana Jones premiere in Berlin. But I let you know, if I hear something.
