Day trips from Nuremberg

Hello Friends

I want some suggestion regarding where i can travel from Nuremberg and return on the same day back.
I have heard couple of places like Regensburg .. Bamberg in which you can do some sightseeing as well.

Can you ppl suggest more places ?
I would not be interested in south bayern as i have seen most of the places there

Certainly Bamberg but also try Rothenburg o.d. Tauber, Pottenstein or just drive, walk or cycle round the "fränkische Schweiz" a bit - Lots of nice villages around.

Oh boy, where do I start? You're in the centre of one of the most interesting parts of Europe. Head north to the beer heaven of Bamberg and the beautiful Fränkische Schweiz, or take in an opera in Bayreuth, head south and cycle along the Altmühltal, spend a couple of days in and around Regensburg, or head east to Amberg, or west to the towns of the Romantic Road, Würzburg and the lovely Main valley...
