Really?

Yes, it's one of these,

somebody calls, I stick it my ear and press the little button on the mike and jabber away! €10 from Media Markt.

Why pay €10 when you can do it for free and use the money towards your banking fees:

Rads do what i did.Get in the car drive like a maniac treat no one with respect on the road and blast off at everyone on the road even if they are right and you are wrong and you will fit in perfectly in traffic over here wink.gif

Just a thought:
I've driven both right- and left-hand cars in and around Europe and the UK.
1. If you think that the drivers' position is in the centre of the road there's no problem; that's where it's safe to look outside the cars in front of you and to overtake. Works for both sides driving.
2. Blend in with what other drivers are doing - they generally know where they're at.
3. Don't panic about the change in side on the gear lever. A couple of "self-conscious" minutes will normally see you right. (See 3. above)
4. Stay extra alert if you happen to bring a RHD car onto the continent. Everybody else is RIGHT!

And always believe: kein Risiko, kein Spaß. If you weren't looking for interest, you wouldn't be there. Adapt and don't blame the other drivers on THEIR roads.

Happy Motoring.

My best tip for driving here is just follow the car in from, and take your road position from them - most of the time you will find that "they" know their way around and are used to driving on the right-hand side of the road!
As for the speed limit - most of the time you can ignore it as long as you are keeping pace with the rest of the traffic - if you are in "pole position" it´s best to stick to the limit, rather than be the one to discover that there is a speed camera just around the corner :-)
If you don´t expect German drivers to be polite (like the English!), you might just get the odd surprise or two - some of them are!!!

The only way to get confident is by driving. Take your mother-in-law along - she'll be sure to point out to you that you need to stay on the right lane every other minute.

Once you're confident about the right lane thing, kick her out of the car.

Haha I like the last tip .. i would rather choose my partner though to do the job dry.gif .. Hee hee . he is as worse as her ...hee hee ..Damn those people who think lady drivers arent good enough .. IMHO i think women are extra careful on the road ..I am sure many guys out here would disagree ... laugh.gif

I would love to follow the other drivers on the road , just when there is no one in front then i think I will follow my instints which is the 'left lane '.. ohh noo .. the right lane''''

Well you are one lady driver who is being extra careful by staying off the road and I for one thank you for that.
