I remember hating the 1st film, but really liked it this time round. Cant say I was impressed with the 2nd film. Funny to hear the collective swoons in the audience whenever Colin Firth and Hugh Grant were on screen.
I was sat next to Eric the Hamster and I'm sure I heard a few sighs from him!!

I liked the second film as much as I liked the first but they are so different, you can't really compare them. The 1st was just real tragique the second one was to much hollywood.
Still can't wait till i get it on DVD and have a girlie redwine, chocolate and pyjama party

It's not Schwäbisch...it's really Voralberg dialect...but Arwen might understand it.

Thanks chewy and katrina for organizing the movie! i really enjoyed it, except the second one wasn't very good. it was a copy of the first one, except that she was a characture. and they left out alllll that funny stuff from the book! and they turned her into a marriage crazed klutz. That's an insult to single women.
anyway, i still had a really fun time.
oh, btw, apperently renee zellinger (sp?) speaks fluent german, hence the excellent accent.

ach, you didn't miss too much Nilfpferd. Although I have to say I enjoyed Part2 a lot more the second time around, partly as the book wasn't so fresh in my head and partly because of the 99.9% female audience keeping the laughter flowing!

random fact. There's a lot of German influence in Texas Even some of the most podunk (small middle of nowhere) schools offer German classes. I never took any cause I thought when the hell would I need German?!?

i speak schwäbisch and live 10 mins drive from the border to Vorarlberg. I can understand it, but have to listen carefully. It's just 10 km away but total different language. Oh well, they just speak different in the mountains

I saw Jamie Cullum at Glastonbury and he was absolutely amazing (and very fine too). Definately worth seeing, even if your not normally a jazz fun. His act was fun and entertaining, he acted just like any normal 20something, plus he's a local lad!
