Christi Himmelfahrt Vaderdag drunken bike tour - Frankfurt

For the first time in years I'm actuallly free on Vaderdag. I haven't done one of those drunken bike tours in a long time. Anyone have one going on? I have an Englishman on loan from NYC who has expressed interest in this particular German custom.

Anyone got a tour organized?

I shall be cycling, probably sober, along the 73km cycle race "Rund um den Henninger Turm" (http://www.henninger-rennen.de) - I've got another shoulder to shave down.

A beer afterwards wouldn't go amiss though!

Man, I need to scan the picture I have of a 5-man trike with a keg and rotisserie grill on the back and a maß holder for every seat.

Do it every year. Get off the No. 9 tram at Bollenfaltor and walk up to the Ludwigsturm. The past few years haven't been as good due to the lack of live music and too many families but still a good day out.

I'll be working that day so do me just one tiny favor: Keep your drunk asses off the road. Bicycles on the road are bad enough. Drunk bicyclists on the road are even worse and are nothing more than moving speed bumps.

I would be keen but only for the cycling not the boozing We'll probably go somewhere anywhere on Thursday
