Where to buy kitschy owls in Munich

Shopping for tasteless owl ornaments
Moonboot
so, I'm invited to a family do on thursday and want to buy a gift for a family member I'll be meeting for the first time.
apparently the best way to impress her is to give her some tasteless owl tat as she is owl-mad. anyone know where I can get owl-y stuff in Munich.
ornaments, tea-coseys etc, in fact the horrider the better I'm guessing.

Sounds like it'll be a hoot! That's it, please ban me...

Strangely enough, I noticed some really hideous wooden owls at Viktualienmarkt the other day. Frankly they looked more like Wolpertinger, but they might fit the bill...

I wouldn't be surprised if you could find a lot of these at the Auer Dult

My ex is the same - owl-mad. It made birthdays and Christmas very easy.

Try around the Hofbräuhaus and Kaufhof. Possibly in one of the small shops in the pedestrian zone at Neuhauser Strasse, the ones with the beer mugs etc.

You sure you haven't just misheard and what she actually collects is Kitchen Towels?

oo some good ideas thanks everyone.
not like I need an excuse to go shopping rolleyes.gif
but it's definitely owls she loves...although I could just get her some tea towels and say I misheard Mr.Moonboot.

I strolled down the pedestrian zone and took a peek into the tourist shops - no owls, but I did get a Scottish flag.
Moonboot
wow a Scottish Flag!

update: I managed to get an owl-brooch from Hertie yesterday just by chance when I wasn't looking! hopefully Tante Irma will like it and I'll score some Mr.Moonboot points!
thanks to all for your ideas and hints.

you can plan for christmas, and normally at Marienpl Christmas Markt and at Ludwig Becks they have the glass ornaments to hang on the tree, there is always owls.

good thinking! thanks for the tip!

P.S. to my prior post: This shop has little clip-on tops for beer bottles shaped like a fancy tin cover to a fancy stein. €11 isn't too much to invest in a Christmas present your families back home will love.
