English/German conversation group in Nuremberg

Hi

A small group of us (native English and native German speakers) meet at Die Rote Bar in Nuremberg(around the corner from O'sheas by the river) every Wednesday at 8.30 pm. The format is one hour speaking English and then a second hour speaking German, then either language is permissible for the rest of the night.
We are only a small group at the moment but we are hoping to get bigger. Look for a Green 'English' sign on the table. Everyone is welcome. It could be a great opportunity to improve your language skills.

I'd attend if I wasn't already busy on Wednesdays nights (Adventures in Eating Out) and if I actually knew enough German to last through an entire hour of speaking Deutsch. (I just recently moved here and haven't had a language course yet, so I know just a tiny bit.)

Quick question: What's the general level of German knowledge for the non-native speakers that show up? I've only been studying for a short time and I wouldn't want to slow things down.

i´m not a native english speaker but i would like to join you on wednesday nights! Are you meeting every wednesday?

I would like to improve my german. Having a tough time with the grammar. Getting everything mixed up lol! Maybe someone can help me out? Is this meeting still going on?

Hard to tell, the OP hasn't been online for two months. You could either go to the designated place and find out or else go to another event and get information from other TTers. Good luck!

If people are interested we could do a chat evening, wed is not good though. It's the adventures in eating out night. Another weeknight would be ok.
The problem is the level of people showing up being somewhat similar.. We could target people with some talking experience. I can definately explain some grammar, but far from everything. Let's see who's interested.. be nice to have at least 3-4 people.

now. Is this true?

Little bit short of a notice for me to do anything today.. I"ll keep monitoring the thread to see if something materializes.

Would love to join too, if it's really still on? Does the notice says how you can contact the person, attendance or something?
