Is Aschaffenburg a good plaice to visit?

It is in good weather yes. Its right on the river. A bottle of sekt by the river, right in front of the old Castle is what I did on my first day here (I work in aschaffenburg but live in Frankfurt).
The platz that the market is in is in the old part of town which is a lovely example of little german old town architecture etc.. The castle itself is great too.
Also since its in Bavaria you can sample some nice cloudy beers while here and if youve had enough fish can sample some real Weisswurst as only the Bavarians can make them (expect a couple of tolerant but funny looks if you order these after 12 midday however).
