Via BBC News:
Berlin offers stalkers a way out.
QUOTE
A walk-in advice centre for stalkers has opened in the German capital Berlin - the first of its kind in the country.
Stalking was made a criminal offence in Germany a year ago.
Free advice will be dispensed to help stalkers kick their habit.
"Stalking is like an addiction - the perpetrators keep increasing the dose," said the psychologist in charge of the centre.

So victims of stalking should simply walk into this place - sorted. The stalker will be a few paces behind and problem will be solved.

The most shocking thing about this is the use of the verb 'stalken' in German! Is there no native word for it?

I'm torn between laughing at the irony of this being posted here, now, and wondering if they will open one in Munich.
Yes, I was sent this link and had to log in again (yes. despite flounce).

You're assuming that all stalkers are men, which isn't the case.

I thought at first glance that this was to help those suffering from the effects of excessive use of Viagra

Thanks, though I'm not really back like I used to be
On topic (I'm not sure this is relevant to just
Berlin though)
As with alcoholics, anorexics, tt addicts or any other modern 'social' illness, the first step to finding a cure is admitting you have a problem.
This link might be of interest to some here.
Are you a stalker?

that is the problem, stalkers don't think they have a problem. Its those being stalked, in their eyes are the problem.

Well the two other words which mean "stalking" are Anschleicher and Pirschjäger. I guess "Bitte stalken sie mich nicht!" sounds better than "Bitte anschleichen Sie mich nicht!"
Anschleichen also means to sneak up (on someone).

Alternatively, there's nachstellen, belästigen, or nötigen.
