I have friends visiting Munich soon who would like to visit this cemetery in Durnbach. I understand it's about 10km from Bad Tölz and wondered if it is accesible by public transport and if anyone can give me a bit more info. Thanks.

Just look on the Bahn website.

It appears that bus 9551 goes there from Hauptbahnhof. Takes about an hour.
