Well I tried this a few months ago without success but now that its sunny and the evenings are light is there anyone who wants to play tennis in Düsseldorf and relieve me from aimlessly swinging my racket in my living room.
Evenings or weekends. Singles, doubles, mixed.
Don't have any fixed idea as to where but there there seem to be a few courts dotted around the place.
Any one interested?

I'm fairly crap at Tennis, which is pathetic as my father is a tennis coach, however I was wondering if you could help me out?
I'm looking for some extra money to supplement my Au Pair pay and I have this idea that somewhere in Düsseldorf a racket stringer is needed. Do you know of any places that do racket restringing? I'm experiened with all rackets and strings : Big Banger, Natural Gut, Wilson 03's etc etc, and would like to put my name out to any Tennis shops/ gear stockists who may currently or in the future want a stringer.
Good luck finding a partner, I wish I'd kept up the sport.

Mmm, very tempting (though it means a trek to Düsseldorf), have been wanting to take up tennis again.. haven't played for years though!
Though first I need to get a racket, shoes and some suitable clothing

In reply to Miranda - no I'm afraid I don't know of any racket shops. All I can suggest is looking on the internet for them or trying any of the tennis clubs in Düsseldorf to see if they need a stringer (again I don't know of any but am sure you can find them on the internet). Good luck to you as well.
Hi axba, do you play badminton?
I have never swung the tennis racket before.
Miranda, there is one shop close to Oststr U-bahn station.
The price is pretty low comparing to Karstadt-sport or other places.
I just cant remember the name of the street right now.
Will check and let you know then.

Ah thanks, I ventured out to find a place called Tennisworld across the Rhein and ended up NOT finding it, I'll keep up my search.
