Accident on Grasserstraße (Monday 21.Apr.2008)
Avoid Hackerbrücke on your way home
As I came out of work I saw there had been a bad accident on Grasserstrasse with at least one injured person lying face-down on the pavement not moving. 3-4 police cars were there and an ambulance came as I drove the other way, but my guess is that the road will be closed to through-traffic for a while.
That seems to have been this incident (from the Süddeutsche Zeitung, 23 April 2008)

An autistic 19-year-old man smashed his car into various vehicles and then threatened a woman with a blank cartridge pistol. He was overwhelmed by the police and taken to the Isar-Apmer-Klinik. The man, who does not have a driver’s license, bought a Citroen on e-bay for resale and wanted to increase its value by filling it up. But on the way to the gas station he ran into a parked car and brushed against two others. Panicking, he raced off on the bike path, lost control of the car at Hackerbrücke and ran into an oncoming car as well as several parked ones. He continued his flight on foot. When a woman tried to stop him he pointed a blank cartridge pistol at her chest. The police arrested him and brought him to a hospital. One person was slightly injured in the road-rage incident.

this was very scary as I was caught up in it all, am glad to hear the man involved has been taken to Haar, hopefully he will receive proper treatment there.
What time was this then? I walked over Hackerbrücke ca 16.45 on the way to PH and didn't see any sign of this incident.
I came out of work at 17:05 and the police had just arrived and a woman was still lying face-down on the road (wonder if she was a driver or the woman who tried to stop him?). You probably missed it by five or ten minutes, madgibson.

Strange that. How is Haar by the way?
it happened just before 17:00...it was all very quick and the police where there in a matter of minutes.
