Messaging Platform Developer

Responsibilities
The source of TynTec’s high quality Messaging Services is the TynTec Messaging Platform. This object-oriented software makes heavy use of communication technologies such as CORBA and SOAP and is developed as a distributed system implemented in Java and C++. The job of the Messaging Platform Developer would be to develop new features for this software, maintain the software and create service applications in its direct surroundings. Such server-side developments include analysis of operational data (e.g. log files and database records) on live systems. Team work is crucial for success in such a complex environment.

Qualifications
• A computer science/studies university degree
• At least 2-3 years work experience during or after studies
• Knowledge about the following technologies: Java, C++, CORBA (JacORB, OmniORB), Linux
• (Unix), Eclipse, PostgreSQL, CVS
• Prefer basic knowledge in mobile network protocols (GSM, SS7)
• Performs well within a team and is willing and/or is ready to learn
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
• High analytical and problem solving skills
