Looks like I'm in for a long stayover in Munich. Anyone from Montreal ? Go Habs Go!!

I am from Montreal, but in Cologne. A while ago my friend sent me a link of French Canadian clubs in Europe, and it exists in major cities of Germany as well, just that I don't remember the name or the link, but worthwhile googling I guess. One thing for sure, you can find Montrealers if you hang around the hockey arena

there is an English group- Canadian Club in Munich, we meet regularily and there are some fellow Montrealers. There is also a French Canadien group that meets- but I have no info for that.

The "Stammtisch Québécois" meets every second Friday at Café Mondial on Pariser Strasse in Haidhausen. They met last week, so they'll be meeting again next week (the 25th). You don't actually have to be from Quebec or francophone, just willing to practice your French .

On another note, is there actually any place in Munich that's showing the NHL playoff games? I've missed the whole Montreal-Boston series .

Thanks for the advice people. I'm actually still in Montreal (by the way it was a georgeous 24 degrees today) but expect to be in Munich in May.

So when are they gonna do something about all those beggars crowding the streets of Montreal. Seems to be the thing to do over there – go on welfare or employment then stand on Rue Sainte Catharine with your hand out.
