Country walk on Sunday 20.Apr.2008

This Sunday the 20th there will be another Country Walk.

For those of you that were not with us before we are usually 20 to 50 people (last time we were 46) of various nationalities and we walk for about 10 Km at a normal pace with a 1 hour stop at a Gaststätte in the middle. We travel to the start of the walk by S-Bahn.

We meet at 12 midday on the ground floor of the Hauptbahnhof in front of the Internationalle Presse. If you would like to travel on a group ticket which is a lot cheaper please be there a bit earlier and I will try to get you on one.

This Sunday we walk to Mariabrunn which has a historic natural spring that was very popular in the 19th century with such people as Sissi, the Empress of Austria. The water contains iron, is suposedly good for you, and tastes of rusty nails. If your not in to that there is also a very good Biergarten there.

Hopefully the Mariabrunn you speak of is closer than the one I found on Google maps (Near Bodensee)..

The Mariabrunn that we go to is not very far from Dachau.

This Sunday the walk will start from Bahnhof Röhrmoos which is on the S2 and so if the meeting point on the Hauptbahnhof is not convenient you can meet us at Röhrmoos when the train comes in at 12.40pm. See you there.
