The concept: Nuremberg has many different types of restaurants. Each week, we explore the city in search of some new, interesting places to eat. (People may suggest where we go on the list and at meeting up.)
The main rule: The place we go to has to be interesting for some reason, and that reason must be stated clearly.
(Cheap is good, and an overriding value, but not exclusively needed or a reason for itself. Inexpensive food is a bonus, however, and a minor target in picking a place.)
Examples of places we will try:
- So I read about a place where there are no servers called 's Baggers. It's all automated. That's adventurous.
- Thai is something new for the group, so it would be a good choice.
- Vapiano has a different system of ordering, especially for an Italian restaurant. It also has pretty decent food.
- Bento Box could be fun one evening, as the concept of a bento box itself is interesting.
What is not allowed:
- Same place again and again in a row.
- German food, unless there's a twist. (Nothing against German food, but it's not adventurous enough in a German city.)
- A place which happens to have at least one good item on the menu which is vegetarian. (There are a few of us in the group, so this is a good rule.)
1) Is this an entirely new group of people?
Many of us are from Thursday's curry nights. We decided to be a bit more adventurous by meeting on a new night and trying something different.
2) Does curry night still exist?
It sure does, and meets on Thursdays.
3) Can I attend?
Yes, all English speakers are invited!
4) Should I post that I'm going to be coming to Adventures?
It's not completely necessary, but it is suggested so that we can make semi-accurate reserverations. (If you show up unannounced, we'll try to find a seat for you still.)
5) Are you friendly?
We sure are.
