I am looking for a swim course for a 5 year old, during the summer holidays.
Can anyone recommend anywhere, or a good instructor?
We live in Englschalking, but travelling is not too much of a prob.
Many thanks.

This website gives you a list of places that do swimming courses:
www.kinder-muenchen.deClick on Freizeit on the top of the page and then on Babyschwimmen & Schwimmschulen on the list on the left hand side.

I am looking for someone to do lessons (possibly private) for my nearly 4 year old son. However, they must be in English. He speaks some German (from
Kindergarten) however he is currently stressed out by anything to do with German (long story), so combined with learning to swim, might be best to do in the "friendly language". Does anyone know of any fluent English speaking swim teachers in Munich?

hey there,
both my son (7) and my daughter (6) learned it within 1 course last summer.
It was organized at Parkhotel Schwabing by Aquabell.
http://www.aquabell.de/Think it was the Kinderanfänger/Technikkurs that they went to.
The instructors were really good. Judging from the fact that my kids had fun and they actually could swim unsupervised after the course (if I would let them but then that is me still being too protective I guess... :-)).
I will send them there again this summer to brush up the technique :-)
hope that helps.
regards,

Hi,
If anyone is still looking for an English speaking swim instructor, I used to teach swim lesson in the states and would be happy to teach either private or small group lessons. My name is Julia, I'm 23, American, working as a aupair for a German family, certified by the American Red Cross as a swim instructor and a lifeguard, and I love kids. If you want more information, or would be interested in arranging lessons at a pool near you, send me a PM or email me at Julia-Rocky@juno.com.
