Party service and costume rental in Berlin

Hello all,

I am arranging a surprise party for my husband's 40th birthday ( 60's theme) and need to get some bean bags, black lights, disco balls etc. to transform my living room to look like Austin Power's 'love shack' for a couple of hours..

I dont want to buy these things, instead would rather rent.. any idea where in Berlin I can find a shop that rents out party stuff/ custumes/lights etc??

A great place for huge, original and really bizarre balloons...get off at Kurfustenstrasse U-bahn on the U1, and pretty much next to the Woolworths is a hinterhofe. Head into it, you'll find it, it's called something like "Barenluftballons" or something. ( I realise your husband is 40, not 4, but the balloons are pretty cool, nevertheless!). If memory serves, they also do various party catering etc, so would surely be a fund of advice for you. Sorry don't have the specific address ( Google it) but it is only one minute work from the station as you come out, on the Kurfustenstr ( the end where it intersects with Potsdamerstr).
